Jennifer first proved that she had plenty of raw vocal talent during her time as a finalist on the third season of American Idol in 2004. She then proved she was multi-talented by giving an Oscar-winning performance as Effie White in the film adaptation of the musical Dreamgirls. At 25 years old, Hudson became the eighth youngest winner of the Best Supporting Actress Oscar and only the third African-American woman to win Best Supporting Actress.
What's Next for Her: J-Hud is set to release her debut R&B album either in late 2007 or early 2008. The album, she told Fashion Rocks magazine is straight R&B and Soul, with a little Pop mixed in, but no Hip-Hop.
