2011 NAACP Image Awards: Music Categories

The nominations for the 2011 NAACP Image Awards were announced Thurs., Jan. 13, and the show was broadcast live Fri., March 4, 2011 on the Fox network. The ceremony, which is now in it's 42nd year, honors diversity and achievement by people of color. Before and during the televised portion of the show, dozens of awards were given out in various categories, including television, music, literature and movies. The list of winners in all the recording categories - including R&B, Jazz, World and Gospel music - are below, with the winners' names in bold and an asterisk (*) next to them.
