2010 American Music Awards

The 2010 American Music Awards nominees were revealed the morning of Oct. 13, 2010 in Los Angeles, and the winners were chosen by online voting at www.amavote.com and ama.abc.com. Artists were honored in the categories of R&B/Soul, Hip-Hop/Rap, Pop/Rock, Country, Alternative, Adult Contemporary, Latin, Soundtracks and Inspirational. The live broadcast took place at the Nokia Theatre in L.A. on Sun., Nov. 21 (8 pm to 11 pm ET/PT) on ABC. The nominees and winners in the urban music categories are below, with the winners' names in bold and an asterisk (*) next to them.
