September was the biggest month of 2008 for new, quality R&B and Soul albums, so October's bound to be a little bit of a letdown. There aren't a whole lot of superstars putting out new music this month, with the exception of John Legend, whose third studio album, Evolver, comes out Oct. 28, but there are a few other stars, some of whom you should be familiar with, like ex-Destiny's Child singer Michelle Williams, '90s hitmen Jon B. and Montell Jordan, and the reunited trio LaBelle (Sarah Dash, Nona Hendryx and Patti LaBelle), who until now hadn't released a new album in over 30 years. 1. "Evolver," John Legend

The latest from the ultra-smooth Legend, which is led by the hit single "Green Light, featuring Andre 3000 (of Outkast) will be in stores Oct. 28 via Sony/BMG.
