Who Are They?:

Day26 is a five-member pop-R&B group formed by music mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs during season four of MTV's "Making The Band" reality series. "Making The Band 4" originally aired from June 18, 2007 to August 26, 2007. Its members are Brian Andrews, Mike McCluney, Qwanell "Q" Mosley, Robert Curry and Willie Taylor. All are in their early-to-mid-20s.

"Making The Band 4":

The five members of the quartet Day26 first met as cast members on the fourth season of the MTV/Diddy reality series Making The Band. On Making The Band, music mogul Diddy put together various unknown singers from across the U.S., forming a so-called R&B supergroup. The winners of the third Making The Band season became the girl-group known as Danity Kane.
During Making The Band 4, a group of judges travel across the country and find 58 male performers to appear on the show. The cast is eventually narrowed down to 20, and over the course of several weeks, the hopefuls live together in New York while learning to sing, dance and perform. They also take part in a series of challenges, such as boxing and playing basketball.
Eventually, at the end of the nine-week series, the members of Day26 were chosen by Diddy and his associates during the live season finale. At the same time, another cast member on the show, Donnie Klang, was given a solo recording deal. On the Feb. 4, 2008 episode of the MTV music video show TRL, the band announced that Day26 would be their name due to the fact that Aug. 26, 2007 was the day that they officially became a group.

"Making The Band 4," Season 2 :

The group is featured on the second season of Making The Band 4 with Danity Kane and Donnie Klang. During the season, all three artists are shown recording their albums while living in the same house. Day26's self-titled debut album was released in the U.S. on March 25, 2008. The lead single was "Got Me Going," produced by Bryan-Michael Cox. Danity Kane, Day26 and Donnie Klang are all currently planning a 2008-2009 world tour together.

Quote:

"Diddy is a very powerful man and sometimes he can be intimidating. But now, it's not like that anymore. We pretty much understand who he is. He's a perfectionist." Brian Andrews, to ballerstatus.com, March 2008.
