Prince's 3121 is #1

Congrats to music legend Prince who this week achieved his first career No. 1 debut on the Billboard albums chart with his new album, 3121. The disc sold 183,000 copies in the US, according to Nielsen SoundScan, to open at No. 1 on both the Pop and R&B/Hip-Hop albums charts. Prince last topped Billboard's R&B/Hip-Hop chart with 1991's Diamonds & Pearls. On the Pop albums chart, he's now had four No. 1s, including 1989's Batman, 1985's Around the World in a Day and 1984's Purple Rain. However only 3121 actually debuted in the top spot.
