Back on Valentine's Day 2012, R&B-pop superstar Usher and producer extraordinaire Diplo debuted the quivering break-up song "Climax," a moody, atmospheric ballad that went on to win a Grammy for Best R&B Performance. And for Valentine's Day 2013, the two were at it again, dropping another innovative collaboration, the low key, seductive tune "Go Missin'." On the song, Usher does all he can to win over a woman he's just spotted sitting alone in a dark, crowded club:
"What kind of man would ever wanna leave your side? Shame on him, you're coming home with me tonight," he sings. "Go missing -- baby ain't nobody gotta know, I'm just tellin' you, you should go, I'ma take good care of you for sho', time to roll, you can follow me right out that back door."
Just like the slow-burning "Climax," this song has a sort of grand, cinematic quality with delicate vocals laid over a moody, semi-futuristic electronic beat. No word yet on whether this tune is just a one-off Valentine's Day present for Usher's fans or if there's a new album from Mr. Raymond around the corner, but if more details emerge, they'll be shared right here.
