Have you ever seen that 1970s blaxploitation film "The Mack," which stars Max Julien as a drug dealer-turned-pimp called Goldie? Well, apparently R&B singer-songwriter Lloyd Polite has seen it too, maybe too many times. Because on his latest release, a free digital mixtape called The Playboy Diaries Vol. 1, Mr. Polite has decided to not live up to his last name and instead sing about mackin,' pimpin' and playin' women. When he's not sleeping with someone else's female, he's schooling her man on how a "bitch" should be treated or bragging about how he'll cook for a woman after he's done wearing her out in the bedroom: "I don't give a f_ck, only like them ghetto sluts," he sings on "The Question." But although he gives his best effort, his high-pitched, nearly-feminine vocals doesn't come across as completely convincing, despite hip-hop artists like Lil Wayne, Roscoe Dash and Wale vouching for him by appearing on various tracks. But if you if don't mind -- or maybe even like -- crude language and low-brow, misogynistic humor, you can download Lloyd's The Playboy Diaries Vol. 1 mixtape via the link below.
