If there's one thing that Ne-Yo is really good at -- really, really good at -- it's writing songs about break-ups and broken hearts. He's proven it time and again with songs like "So Sick," "Do You," and of course, one of the songs he wrote for Beyonce, "Irreplaceable." And now we can add another tune to the list, "Should Be You." This particular broken hearted song is about a man who still can't get over the woman he let get away.
"As I lay here with some girl I don't know, in the back of my mind one million times I tell myself it should be you, should be you, should be you with me right now," he sings. "As I watch her sleep all I can think (is) she's beautiful, but she's not you."
The song is the latest to be released from Ne-Yo's upcoming fifth studio album, R.E.D. (it stands for Realizing Every Dream), which is due out next month. This latest song, which features both Fabolous and Diddy, comes out on the heels of a number of singles from the album that have been released, including "Lazy Love" and "Don't Make 'Em Like You." R.E.D. is expected to drop Nov. 6, 2012, but you can already stream the latest single via the link below.
