If you hadn't heard, Atlanta-based R&B singer-songwriter Anthony David is preparing to release his fifth studio album, Love Out Loud (aka LOL) next month via Purpose Music Group/eOne Music. LOL will be the follow-up to his 10-track EP Location, Location, Location, which dropped back in December 2012. A couple of songs from the new album have already seen the light of day, "So Jaded," a song about having your heart broken and then becoming a hardened skeptic when it comes to falling in love; and the straight-up sex jam "Sweet Pain." And the third song to make its way online is "Can't Look Down," which is about a man who's flying high emotionally, but is scared of falling in love.
"I'm afraid if I kiss you on the lips girl, I might get carried away/I'm afraid if I let you in my dreams girl, then I'll never, ever awake," he sings. "I'm afraid that if I look into my future, that you're gonna be there/Tell you what I'm afraid of the most is that I won't even care."
The song is a smooth, well-polished ode that strongly showcases Anthony's warm, slightly raspy vocal style. The album is due out in the U.S. Nov. 13, 2012, but you can stream "Can't Look Down" or either of the other two songs mentioned above by clicking the links below.
