Later today (Sept. 18, 2012) singer Willie Taylor, who's best known from his time as a member of the R&B group Day26, will release The Reintroduction of Willie Taylor, his first mixtape since the group broke up earlier this year. But if you're either bursting at the seams while waiting for it to drop, or you're curious as to how he sounds when not having to share the vocal duties with three or four other guys, you're in luck: Willie's song "Morning" was just released as an official single to give you a taste of what he has to offer vocally. And if you were expecting a Day26 soundalike track: surprise, surprise. "Morning" is a sexy, mellow mid-tempo song about making love at the beginning of the day that sounds more mature than almost anything Day26 recorded during their time together, but still has enough upbeat energy and mainstream appeal to please anybody who might have been in their late teens while watching Willie and the other members of the group on MTV's "Making the Band 4" reality series from 2007-2009.
