As mentioned in a blog post earlier today, R&B crooner Willie Taylor -- formerly of the vocal group Day26 -- has dropped his latest mixtape, The Reintroduction of Willie Taylor. Although Will actually released another mixtape called Sextape in 2010, this is his first release since Day26 called it quits earlier this year. The group, which is best known for being formed on the MTV reality show "Making the Band 4" from 2007-2009,  may or may not be gone for good, but since the members disbanded, Willie's wasted no time trying to make a name for himself as a solo artist. And his latest mixtape features a number of songs that he's put out on his own the past several months, including "Morning," "Instagram Ya' Body," featuring Jeremih and the duet "Not Mine," with Dondria. Although the mixtape features some annoying and over-the-top voiceovers by hosts Big Tigger and DJ V Dub, some of the interludes really work, such as when Tigger interviews Will about why the members of Day26 decided to go their separate ways.

"We never stopped 'Making the Band.' And what I mean by saying that is it was always a competition," Willie said candidly. "The competition never ended, which led to a lot of jealousy issues, which led to the downfall of the group. We weren't playing as a team. Somewhere down the line we got more about individuals instead of group. That's pretty much what it was."

He goes on to tell pretty crazy story about an incident in London involving two members of the group that has to be heard to be believed. (And even then, you still might not believe it.) The mixtape, which also features guest appearances by R&B muscleman Tank and various hip-hop artists, can be streamed or downloaded legally and for free via the link below. (Be advised however, that there's some adult/NSFW language sprinkled on a few tracks.)
