New Music: Q. Parker - 'Yes'

From Mark Edward Nero, About.com GuideSeptember 6, 2012

Follow me on:

Although Q. Parker will eventually wind up being the last member of vocal group 112 to release a solo project, his album could become the most commercially successful of the four. Daron Jones' first solo album went unnoticed by most when it dropped in 2010 and the projects by the other two members, Slim and Mike, were barely acknowledged by the public. But Q. has steadily promoted his work this year through a mixtape (Qgasms: Chapter One, which was released in June) and a radio single, "Show You How," which came out in March). Now he's back with another single, and it -- like almost every other song he's done on his own -- is about sex. At times when he was 112, Q. was overshadowed by the distinctively high vocal tone of the group's lead singer, Marvin "Slim" Scandrick, but now he seems very comfortable role as a romantic leading man. Q.'s album, which is entitled The MANual, is due out later this year (no official release dates' available yet, sorry). The latest single, which is called "Yes," can be streamed via the link below.
