A couple of months ago when Ne-Yo dropped the first single from his upcoming album, R.E.D., yours truly wrote about how "Lazy Love" was a nice switch-up from all the electronic/dance singles he's put out in recent years. "If this is the direction he's taking with R.E.D.," I wrote at the time, "it's a good one and a welcome change of pace." But wouldn't you know it: it turns out that the album's second single, "Let Me Love You" is exactly the kind of heavily synthesized Euro-dance pop that I was hoping that he was starting to move away from. Well, even if the music's not warm, at least the song's lyrics are. On the track Ne-Yo sings to a girl who doesn't know what real affection is, because she's never had it shown to her: "Girl let me love you and I will love you until you learn to love yourself," he sings. "I know your trouble, don't be afraid, girl let me help." R.E.D., which stands for Realizing Every Dream, is due out Sept. 18, 2012. You can check out the latest single via the top link below.
