- Beyonce has given birth to her first child with Shawn "Jay-Z" Carter. The baby girl, who was delivered Sat., Jan. 7 in a New York hospital, was named Blue Ivy Carter by her parents.
- Chris Brown's manager says the singer won't be giving interviews in 2012 so that he can concentrate on making music and performing.
- The members of Dru Hill are all planning to release solo albums before making another album as a group.
- SWV's long-awaited comeback album won't deviate much from their classic '90s sound.
- The-Dream says he was paid $15 million for writing Rihanna's hit song "Umbrella."
- Trey Songz is going on a month-long tour starting in early February.
- Ne-Yo is expected to drop his first-ever mixtape, 101, in early 2012.
- Ruben Studdard has a new song out about his short-lived marriage.
- Congrats to R&B legend Aretha Franklin, who just got engaged.

Dru Hill, are you serious? I love the original group, you know with all four original members, Jazz, Nokio, Sisqo ( who was my favorite back in the day) and Woody. I kinda miss Scola in the group, herd it was some money issues why he didn’t stay, I really don’t know a lot about the new dude except he got married, that’s pretty much it with him, but they are going to try this solo act again and then record another group cd, good luck..
Yay, SWV, is coming back, the 90’s… Wondering if En Vogue will ever come back again, they should…
Trey Songz, yeah, I read about the tour with Big Sean, hope he does a concert in Virginia… That would make me SMILE!! He is and will always be my favorite male singer ever, can’t wait for Chapter 5 to come out and see if him and Drake will do that colaboration cd, after Chapter 5 of course focus on one project at a time, so if the tour begins next month then the cd shouldn’t be that far behind. And then Texas Chainsaw Massacre on October 5, 2012, can’t wait to be scared when I see this movie. Always represent Trey Songz in all of his projects, 804 for life!!!
