On his most recent album, 2009's I Get Around, Detroit R&B singer K'Jon showed that he wasn't afraid to record and release songs that had gravity and substance, instead of the pop-based fluff that typifies much of what passes for R&B these days. Songs like "On the Ocean" and "This Time" have come to exemplify his brand of mature, thoughtful urban music. And with his latest single, "Will You Be There," he continues that trend. On the song, which is the lead single from his upcoming album, Moving On, he sings about wondering whether he can truly count on his woman while his world in crashing down all around him. "After all is said and done, will you be there?" he sings. Moving On is due out March 27, 2012 via the Shanachie Entertainment label. The first single, which you can stream via the link below, is highly recommended.
