During November 2011, about.com is counting down its picks for the dozen best R&B, Soul and Funk music groups of all time. No. 2 on the list is Earth, Wind & Fire. Out of all the groups on the list, EWF is the one that most epitomizes the word "band" because it's made up of about a dozen accomplished musicians and two lead vocalists. The group ruled the 1970s and early '80s with its infectious brand of feel-good funk, Soul and pop, epitomized by songs like "Boogie Wonderland," "September" and "Let's Groove."
