During November 2011, about.com is counting down its picks for the dozen best R&B, Soul and Funk music groups of all time. No. 5 on the list is legendary act The Miracles, aka Smokey Robinson & The Miracles. Although best known for their Motown-era songs, including "Tears of a Clown" and "You've Really Got a Hold on Me," featuring Smokey Robinson as lead singer, The Miracles continued on after Smokey's departure and even had one disco hit, "Love Machine," in the mid-'70s.
