During November 2011, about.com is counting down its picks for the dozen best R&B, Soul and Funk music groups of all time. A new name is added to the list each day beginning Nov. 7. The No. 11 group on the list is '70s Funk ensemble Parliament-Funkadelic. This loose crew, which was masterminded by the legendary George Clinton, not only made an impact on the music world during their heyday, but also influenced a generation of West Coast hip-hop artists in the '90s.
