R&B star Monica drops a new album in November 2011; it's her seventh release overall and the follow-up to her Grammy-nominated 2010 album, Still Standing. It also marks her debut on RCA Records as well as her first album since since she married NBA player Shannon Brown in November 2010. Has marriage changed her and her music? Only time will tell, but since the album's called New Life, it may be safe to assume that she might be going in at least a slightly different direction. And in fact, the album's new single, "Until It's Gone," gives a few hints where she might be headed. The song, which has a strong piano-based melody, is a lot more sophisticated and melodically complex than anything she recorded during her "The Boy is Mine" days in the '90s. The song, which was co-written by Missy Elliott and Jazmine Sullivan and produced by Missy, can be heard via the link below.
