If there's one theme that has always run through Beyonce Knowles' career, it's female empowerment. From songs like "Independent Women" and "Survivor" from her Destiny's Child days to solo material like "Ring The Alarm" and "Single Ladies," Bey has shown that's she's all about girl power. So it should come as no surprise that the first official single from her upcoming, but as yet untitled fourth studio album, "Run The World (Girls)," is a female empowerment anthem. What is a mild surprise though, is that the song's co-written by producer-singer Terius Nash, better known to most music fans as The-Dream. Apparently, Dream is either very in touch with his feminine side, or else knows how to tap into it quickly. Anyway, "Run The World," is undeniably a memorable addition to Beyonce's catalog of songs. To be honest, this song is too BUSY…
There are some nice elements in the song but when these elements are mixed together it makes the song unidentifiable. It would actually be quite cool if this was not the official version of the song and was edited again…
The smoothest and most comprehensive part of this song is the chorus and if the beat was slowed down just a little to give it a more funky beat then it would be going in the right direction…
