- Rest in peace to G-Funk crooner Nathaniel Hale, aka Nate Dogg, who died recently at the age of 41. Nate had been in poor health in recent years and suffered strokes in 2007 and 2008.
- Essence magazine is hold live auditions soon for an R&B talent competition. The winner gets to perform at the 2011 Essence Festival in July.
- Music mogul L.A. Reid is leaving Island Def Jam to become a judge on the U.S. version of Simon Cowell's show "The X Factor."
- Michael Jackson's brother Jermaine has a memoir coming out this fall.
- Keri Hilson and Missy Elliot are denying rumors that they're lovers.
- Rihanna tells Vogue magazine that her father betrayed her. Twice.
- Mariah Carey has put her dogs in therapy. Yes, therapy.
- Janet Jackson is becoming a movie producer.
