Chrisette Michele's second album, Epiphany, is scheduled to drop May 5 (it was pushed back from late March), and the first single, "Ephiphany (I'm Leaving)," was written by Ne-Yo and produced by Chuck Harmony. The mid-tempo song is Chrisette's declaration of independence: "That word 'epiphany' just meant so much to me, because it was during the time that I was preparing to record that something clicked in my spirit," she said in a recent interview. "I'd been through a lot in my last relationship, and the word 'epiphany' exemplified exactly what happened in the end when I realized I didn't have to put myself through it anymore."
