Some people knock Bobby Valentino's singing ability, but if there's one thing you can't knock, it's how hard he hustles. In 2008 he parted ways with Ludacris' Disturbing Tha Peace clique, saying that he'd been held back and that his R&B style didn't mix with the hip-hop label. Weeks later, he put out a six-track EP called Come With Me, then started his own label, Blu Kolla Dreams. Later, he started work on a new album and released a single, "Beep Beep." Now, in anticipation of the release of his third album, The Rebirth, due out Feb. 10, 2009, Bobby V.'s dropped a free mixtape called Lights, Camera & R&B. Like all mixtapes, it's got both good and bad points. The good here is that there's actually some enjoyable songs, particularly the third track, "Knock Knock" and the seventh, "One Chance," which features Trey Songz and Lloyd.
