Some of the more interesting news and rumors from the past week:
- D'Angelo is expected to collaborate with Prince on his long-awaited first new album since 2000, which is reportedly titled James River and is due this summer from J Records. D will also team with Gnarls Barkley's Cee-Lo Green, Raphael Saadiq, Mark Ronson and Roy Hargrove on songs.
- John Legend will perform during halftime at the NBA All-Star Game in Phoenix on Feb. 15. Also, Tamia, who's the wife of Phoenix Suns star Grant Hill, will sing the national anthem before the game.
- A man accused of killing three members of Jennifer Hudson's family in Chicago has pleaded not guilty to charges of first-degree murder and home invasion.
- India.Arie is really excited about covering a Sade song on her new album (even though she didn't know the song's real name at first).
- Natalie Cole, who was diagnosed with Hepatitis C last year, will have a kidney transplant soon.
- Lil Mo gave birth to an eight pound boy earlier this month.
