About R&B Profile: Heather Headley

Heather Headley has one of the more interesting backgrounds in all of music. She's originally from Trinidad, was raised in Indiana and got her start in the entertainment industry after being recruited by Disney to act and sing in the musical version of The Lion King. She later migrated from the stage to the studio when she recorded her first album as an R&B artist, This Is Who I Am, which was released in 2001. And now, Heather's getting ready to try something new again: her debut Gospel album, Audience of One, drops Jan. 13, 2009.
