Free Daptone Records Sampler
Monday November 17, 2008
Daptone Records, home to Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings and lots of other great old school - and old-school sounding - Soul & Funk artists, has released a free digital music sampler, featuring music from each of the label's full-length albums. Apparently, it's been out about a month, but I'm just now getting hip to it thanks to Oliver Wang's Soul Sides blog, the only blog that's strong as death, yet sweet as love. Anyway, the Daptone Records digital sampler, which is called This is Daptone Records, is there for the taking at Amazon.com (no strings attached) so if you've already got an Amazon account, feel free to get at it by clicking the Daptone logo above. The complete tracklisting for the sampler is below.
