New Music: Nikka Costa - "Crybaby"

As mentioned before, yours truly didn't know much about Nikka Costa until recently, but since knowing music is my job, I had to get schooled pretty quickly on the lady and her music. And the more I hear, the better her Blues-meets-Funk-meets-Soul style sounds. Nikka drops a new album called Pebble To A Pearl on Oct. 14, you might have already heard the first single, "Stuck to You." Well, a second single called "Crybaby" was unleashed recently, and if you like '70s-style Blues-Funk, then this is the song for you. You can hear little bits of Sly Stone and Stevie Wonder influences on this song, maybe even a little Otis Redding. Not bad. To stream the track, click the link below.
