New Music: Beyonce - "If I Were A Boy"

The first two singles from Beyonce's upcoming third album, I Am, were just released online today. One of the two songs is "If I Were A Boy," which from the title a lot of people assumed followed the same theme as Ciara's 2007 hit "Like A Boy." And it looks like those people were right - sort of. The theme is the same: it's about a woman wondering what it would be like to be a guy. But Ciara's song was an upbeat dance tune, while Be's is more of a melancholy, mellow track. Be's other new song, "Single Ladies," will be spotlighted here tomorrow, but for now, you can stream "If I Were A Boy" by clicking on the link below.

yet another track that B stole and papa knowles is trying to get publishing rights for so that the album can say she wrote it… I swear this mess is really starting to get out of control. check out the original version of the song on BC Jean’s myspace page… the artist who wrote the song and is saying she didn’t even know b recorded it…
There’s no full proof yet but B has been sued before for stealing people’s ideas and song concepts so I wouldn’t be surprised.
Oh my gosh is all I can say. It is the same exact song on BC Jean’s page.
Beyonce has apparently settled with BC Jean regarding the song. BC’s probably about to get paid:
