New Music: Anthony Hamilton - "Cool"

If you've seen my picks for the best modern-day Soul singers, then you know that yours truly is a big Anthony Hamilton fan. And don't tell anybody this, but I almost got all giddy like a lil' schoolgirl when his label sent out an e-mail blast with his new single and saying that he's due to drop a new album called The Point of it All before the end of 2008. The album's first single, "Cool," is a perfect example of why I love this brotha's music so much. Dude's got a deep Southern-fried Soul voice that positively drips with emotion, sincerity and more than anything else, realness. It's just too bad that part of this song is fouled up by an appearance by -

ANTHONY HAMILTON IS THE BOMB. EVERYONE LOVES HIS MUSIC CAUSE THEY CAN RELATE TO THE LOVE AND HEART ACHES AND GOODTIMES LOVE TAKES YOU THROUGH.
No doubt, Anthony Hamilton is the GREATEST R&B singer of our time. I don’t know David Banner, but I heard the song “Cool” and I truly believe that Anthony included David to add humor to his song so that his fans would know that he’s not just a sad cat who’s songs always make you wanna cry. David’s rap in the “Cool” song is so stupid that it’s hilarious and I actually like it!
