New Music: Noel Gourdin - "One Love"
Tuesday August 26, 2008
Noel Gourdin - the singer of one of 2008's best songs, "The River," - is back with another single off his debut album, After My Time. The new track is "One Love," a breezy, piano-laced jam about a man having an epiphany and wanting to get serious with his woman: "Ever since you’ve been gone, Got me wondering baby, Why it’s taken me so long to make you my baby, Now I know we said we weren’t gonna rush - I was the first to say it, But I’ve been thinking about your touch, My mind keeps replaying it," he sings. If when you hear the song part of the chorus sounds familiar, it's because on it Noel pays tribute to another "One Love," the song of the same name recorded by the rap trio Whodini way back in 1986.
