New Music: Wayne Brady - "Ordinary"

By August 13, 2008

Follow me on:

Wayne Brady - OrdinaryNo, your eyes aren't deceiving you: Wayne Brady - yes that Wayne Brady - is coming out with an album soon. We've all heard Wayne on TV singing corny classic songs like "Say A Little Prayer" and "The Candy Man," but how is he when it comes to singing contemporary pop, Soul and R&B? Well, judging by his debut single, "Ordinary," pretty good. Unlike actor Terrence Howard, who's also dropping an album next month, Wayne actually has a fairly strong, soulful voice. And "Ordinary," which pays tribute to everyday life, is better than your might expect it to be. Don't just take my word for it though: give it a listen by clicking on the link below. And if you're wondering, Wayne's debut album, A Long Time Coming, drops Sept. 16, 2008 via Peak Records/Concord Music.

(56) Ivery says:

I still love this song; and just needed to hear it today and appreciate it all over again. I also, believe that Wayne Brady is so talented that we’ve only just began to see him shine; sometimes people like Wayne Brady, who are so talented are “type-cast” because the “persona” we are used to seeing is so popular with the masses, that the Studio’s and industry hold them back from showing us the full relm of talent of the individual…I waiting Wayne, for your break-out album..that you just take your time and come with it!!!
