New Music: Joe - "Why Just Be Friends"

Joe Thomas is back and sounds refreshed now that he's off of Jive Records and away from R. Kelly, who was allegedly sabotaging Joe's career. As reported here back in June, Joe's gearing up to release two albums in the next six months, and first is Joe Thomas, New Man, which drops Sept. 23 via the Kedar Entertainment label. And from New Man comes two singles, "Why Just Be Friends" and "Emergency Room." In the humble opinion of yours truly, "Why Just Be Friends" is the better song, it's more upbeat and Joe sounds a lot more motivated on it than he did on his final Jive album, Ain't Nothing Like Me. Why Just Be Friends is so chill. I love it!Joe sounds great! Unlike many of today’s artists, his music always crosses generational lines. My mom LOVES this song (she’s in her mid-50s) and I LOVE this song (I’m 25). Awesome song!!
I want to know what the name of the book Joe spoke about on his mtv cribs show .He said it’s like a must have for song writers and I dont remember the name of it . It’s a ryme scheme book of some sort . Please send me the name of that book please. I’m a song writer also and I would love to grow my song writing abilities .
