As Tom Petty once sang (who?), the waiting is the hardest part. And if you've been anxiously awaiting an upcoming R&B release only to find that it keeps getting delayed and pushed back with no explanation, your Guide to R&B feels your pain. Great feature! So many artists announce albums and then seem to disappear. Too disappointing at times when you’re looking forward to them. Your list provides a definitive collection to a lot of them! For instance, the group 3rd Storee came out hard with some tight tracks, changed their names to Chapter 4 and planned to release a new album. Then they just sorta… left. Similar stories with Men of Vizion, and far too many artists.
You’re right, too many young, up-and-coming artists wind up falling between the cracks. Some established artists, too.
ive wondered what ever actually happened to Chapter 4, the aforementioned 3rd storee, i was really diggin’ fool with u and shoulda thought twice. didnt clive davis say they were going to be his secret weapon? shame though with rnb groups dead and buried. any word on a new mario album seeing there are a lot of tracks flying out, many produced by stargate and darkchild ala i choose u, which fairs better than what usher could have delivered. and yeah i listened to little jackie over the weekend and its dope. good looks on posting them.
