Music: Raphael Saadiq - "100 Yard Dash"

At the end of every year I put together a compilation CD of my favorite songs of that year and give the CDs out as gifts to friends and family. And literally the moment I heard this song, I knew it was going on my Nero's Fave Songs of '08 disc. The song, called "100 Yard Dash," is a short-but-sweet treat from Raphael Saadiq's latest solo album, The Way I See It, which comes out Sept. 16. There's actually another song on the album called "Love That Girl" that's the first official single, but in the humble opinion of yours truly, "100 Yard Dash" is better by a mile.
