A couple of times last week (here and here) yours truly blogged about songs on Al Green's latest album, Lay It Down, which came out in May. And if you're not tired of the ol' Reverend Al yet, there's one more song stream from the album that you might want to hear. "Just For Me" is exactly - exactly - the kind of music that Al used to record back in the '70s. From the vocals to the organ to the horns, it's all vintage. If you're ever talking to someone who's never heard Al's music in the past and they want to know what his style of music's like, this is a song you'd play, even though it's practically brand new. And the most amazing this is, this album was co-produced by ?uestlove, the drummer for hip-hop band The Roots. Anyway, if '70s Soul is your thing, you can stream "Just For Me" by clicking on the link below.
