Some of the more interesting news and rumors from the past week:
- The trial of R. Kelly finally began with three days of testimony last week and lived up to its billing as the biggest show in Chicago. Kellz, who's charged with 14 counts of child pornography, faces up to 15 years in prison if convicted.
- T-Pain's third album, Thr33 Ringz, is due out Sept. 30. The first single, "Snap You Fingers" featuring Lil' Wayne, is expected to hit radio sometime in June.
- Jennifer Hudson's self-titled debut album comes out sometime in September. The first single, "Spotlight," will be released to U.S. radio on June 9.
- The Time will be playing shows at the Flamingo Las Vegas from June 24 to Aug. 2. All the original members of the group will perform.
- Is former "American Idol" hopeful Syesha Mercado the next best thing to Faith Evans?
- Janet Jackson wants to "Rock Witchu" on tour in September.
