India.Arie has gotten a record label deal with Universal Republic Records and started her own music label, SoulBird Music. The first artist to release an album under the new label is Atlanta-area R&B singer Anthony David, who's been friends with India for more than 10 years. His major label debut, Acey Deucey, is scheduled for release on June 17, 2008. The first single from the album is "Words," a duet co-written and performed by Anthony and India. "Words" was originally on Anthony's 2006 indie album, The Red Clay Chronicles. The song won't be sent to radio stations across the U.S. until mid-April, but you can stream it here by clicking on a link below.
