Some of the more interesting news and rumors from the past week:
- Former Destiny's Child member Michelle Williams will release her second solo album, Unexpected, in August. Unlike her first album, which was mostly Gospel, this one's reportedly a dance-pop album.
- Two new witnesses in the R. Kelly child porn case are expected to corroborate prosecutors' claims about the identity of the girl who allegedly was videotaped having sex with Kellz.
- In a recent interview with Hip-Hop website Ballerstatus, Ray J dissed both Marques Houston and producer Chris Stokes, saying that they were trying to compromise his career.
- Nearly 50 rare tracks by The Supremes will see the light of day on a new double-disc set, Let the Music Play: Supreme Rarities 1960-1969, which comes out April 29.
- Keyshia Cole and Ciara are both in the studio working on their third albums. Both albums are expected to be out before the end of 2008.
- Gnarls Barkley's second album, The Odd Couple, was moved up from an April 8 release to March 18 because the album leaked online.
