Undiscovered Gem: Paul Hill
Monday March 10, 2008
All this week on the About R&B site, we're paying tribute to some of the talented artists out there who as of right now are free agents not signed to major record labels. Or as yours truly likes to call them, undiscovered gems. One of those gems is Detroit singer-songwriter-producer Paul Hill. Paul may not be a household name (yet), but he's no stranger to music industry insiders, having worked with Dallas Austin, George Clinton and Too $hort, to name a few. Paul, who's a soulful R&B artist, has a few of his songs posted on the internet, including my favorite of his, a laid-back, romantic jam called "Spacing on My Space." You can listen the song, and a few more of his songs at his MySpace page. Your Guide recommends that you check him out when you have a chance.

Yo ppl you gotta check out Paul’s music; its been too long since we’ve had a cat like him He should blowup soon!!
Keep your focus. You have a style that bridges the sound of yesteryear and today. Keep soaring and searching for new sounds to accent your voice. You are a good artist who hasn’t tapped his greatness yet and that is right around the corner for you.
