Holiday Jam: Bootsy Collins - "Boot-off"

Monday December 24, 2007

Bootsy Collins: Christmas Is 4 EverYour Guide to R&B is taking Christmas Day off, but here's a little music from Funk legend Bootsy Collins to keep you company during the holiday. The song, called "Boot-Off," is a very funky remake of "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer," and can be found on Bootsy's first-ever Christmas album, Christmas Is 4 Ever, which was released on the Shout! Factory label back in October 2006. On the album, Bootsy slaps some major league Funk onto standard traditional holiday classics; for example, "Jingle Bells" becomes "Jingle Belz," and "Winter Wonderland" is remade as "Winter Funkyland." You can stream "Boot-off" by clicking on a link below.
