Video: Craig David - "Hot Stuff (Let's Dance)"
Tuesday November 6, 2007
Your Guide to R&B's probably going to get a bunch of angry e-mails from lovesick girls about this, but yours truly is not feeling the latest song (or video) from British R&B-pop singer Craig David. The song's first problem is that it samples the 1983 David Bowie song "Let's Dance," even though it's been done many times by others, most notable on the P. Diddy song "Been Around the World." The second problem is the video looks like vintage 1990s, Soul II Soul/C+C Music Factory-type stuff. You halfway expect Freedom Williams and Snap to make cameos. Anyway, the song is off of Craig's forthcoming album, Trust Me, which comes out in the U.S. on May 13, 2008. If you want to see the video for yourself, just click on a link below.
