New Music: Lyfe Jennings - "Cops Up"

So the word on the street is that one of your Guide to R&B's favorite male singers, Lyfe Jennings, is getting ready to drop a new album called Change in February 2008. The first song out is "Cops Up," about a player who's steadily falling in love. (The chorus goes, in part: "Somebody call the cops up, lil' mama done stole my heart/She's makin' me fall in love ... somebody call the cops up.") The song's unusually uptempo and catchy for Lyfe, who's more known for his gritty material. There's even a rap verse at the beginning of the track, but to be honest, it adds little to the song.
