If you hadn't already heard, R. Kelly has recorded an inspirational song called "Rise Up" that deals with the Virginia Tech University shooting massacre that took place April 16. Kelly says he wrote the song after watching the events happen as he was on his way to perform at a show. "Rise Up" will be available as a digital download beginning May 15, with 100 percent of the proceeds going to the Hokie Spirit Memorial Fund, which was set up to provide financial assistance, grief counseling and other assistance to those directly affected by the shootings. There's no word yet on whether the song will be on Kelly's new album, Double Up, which comes out on Tuesday (May 29). To see our list of other R&B albums coming out in May, click here.
