Album Review: Joe - Ain't Nothing Like Me
Tuesday April 24, 2007
On his sixth album, Joe Thomas doesn't vary much from the tone and image he established for himself on previous albums; there's the same emotional ballads, the same sexy bedroom music, the same obligatory guest appearances by rappers. Joe's approach on this album seems to be if it ain't broke, don't fix it. And the approach works; Ain't Nothing Like Me is a solid, if unspectacular, album that should equally appeal to the women and men who are fans of Joe's earlier work. But the question is: will the album gain him any new fans? For your Guide to R&B's answer, check out his review of Joe's Ain't Nothing Like Me.

I just got this in the mail today. I had low expectations, but, after reading your review, I’ll go give it a listen.
Rizoh, I’d like to know your opinion of the album once you’ve had a chance to listen to it.
After a couple of spins, I must say it’s a surprisingly solid drop. Definitely big on hip-hop. But it Ain’t Nothin’ Like the first two Joe albums.
I love it, love it, love it! It’s classic Joe with a twist! Each album shows a different side of him….and if you didn’t know, this is ONLY for the grown & sexy people! So if your not feeling this album, you haven’t matured yet!
LOVE IT! LOVE IT! LOVE IT! Joe continues to get better and better. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it. His style he owns and I can’t get enough of Joe. This album is just delicious. His voice is amazing and the beats are awesome. Outstanding job and I can’t wait to hear more from him. Hey, it can only get better.

I LOVE IT WITH ALL MY HEART AND SOUL…WELL DONE JOE,YOU’RE THE BEST.
I find the comment originally placed about JOE to be misinformed and in a sense slanderous. Please do not ever discredit “Don’t fix whats not broken”. What OE does for me and a plenty of the woman I speak to about JOE is love, joy,the art and pleasure of love making. I do not have a lonely life and my time is well constructed, this man gives me that belief that a man can feel what JOE has felt and show sensitivity enough to share his feelings with the world. I would trade a few minutes of my to know and meet JOE. Please JOE, do what GOD has given you the gift to give to people like my self who appreciate you and want more and more!
With Love and Appreciation,
