New Music: Gerald Levert - "In My Songs"

In case you hadn't heard, the final album that Gerald Levert recorded before dying of a heart attack in November 2006 was released yesterday (Feb. 13, 2007). Your Guide to R&B will post a review of it on Thursday, but in the meantime, here's the album's title track and first single, "In My Songs." On the track, Gerald explores the irony of how, although he's known for his love songs, he doesn't have a special someone of his own to love. "It's time for me to live out the love that I sing about in my songs," he sings. Sadly, Gerald never found his true love before he died. To stream "In My Songs," click on a link below.

After listening to the cd ,In my songs, I realized that it was our relationship that my Teddybear,the nickname I gave him in 1986,was singing about and he did find true love before he passed he just missed placed it and couldn’t find his way back.Because of a medical condition that causes memory loss I couldn’t find him but over the years I carried his spirit inside of me and I waited at the last place he drop me off at because all I could remember is to wait for this true love. In 2007 I found out that he was still looking for me as I was waiting for him.He remembered the material things,red roses ,
teddybears,and the home in ohio in the country.
In conclusion, that is when you find out who trully cares and really has your back and over the years we both found out that the ones that we thought we could trust really didn’t have our backs. You heard the saying misery loves company.BUT KNOW WITHOUT A DOUBT WE HAD FOUND TRUE LOVE AND IT’S ENTERNAL AND I’LL NEVER LET MYSELF FORGET HIM EVERY AGAIN. So remember when your in love to concertrate more on spitual then the material and like my parents used to say if you want something done right do it yourself because jealousy and greed will sometime change the ones you think you can trust.I ALWAYS LOVE HIM WITH EVERYTHING WITHIN ME AND I CAN’T WAIT UNTIL I CROSS OVER AND WE’LL BE TOGETHER FOR ENTERNALLY LIKE WE PROMISED EACH OTHER LIKE HE SAID ONLY GOD AND HIM AND ME KNOW.HE WAS A BRILLANT MAN.I THANK GOD FOR THE TIME THAT WE SHARED BECAUSE SOME PEOPLE NEVER EXPERIENCE A TRUE LOVE SO I’M GRATEFUL AND FILLED BLESSED TO HAVE HAD THAT WITH HIM AND I’LL CONTINUE TO CARRY HIM IN MY SPIRIT AS I ALWAYS HAVE I JUST CAN PUT A FACE AND NAME WITH HIS SPIRIT THAT I STILL AND ALWAYS CARRY WITH ME.
