Review: Sophia Darcell - Soul Eclectic
Sunday October 29, 2006
Listening to Sophia Darcell's sophomore album, Soul Eclectic, is like spending a warm Sunday afternoon at the beach. The 12 songs on the CD are breezy like an coastal wind; but also warm, like a seaside bonfire. Darcell's brand of smooth Jazz-infused, soulful R&B is also airy and pleasant, even if some of the topics, such as child abuse, are not. For more, check out your Guide's review of Sophia Darcell's Soul Eclectic. And be sure to check back right here Tuesday (Oct. 31) for an interview that your Guide recently conducted with Sophia and her bassist, Kenny Williams.
