She's toured the world. Played in front of immense crowds. Been awarded three platinum plaques for albums that sold over a million copies each. But despite all that, Rhonda Smith's name is still unknown to many. Why? Because Smith has spent a healthy portion of her career not as a solo artist, but in bands, particularly Prince's band, the New Power Generation. But although Smith, an acclaimed bassist, has played with Prince off and on for 10 years, she also has a career as a solo artist. And in an exclusive interview, she talks about her early life, career, new album and what it's like working with his Purple Majesty.
