2006 Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Awards

The 2006 Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Awards were held last night (Friday, Sept. 8) in Atlanta, and the big winner was Mariah Carey. Mariah completely dominated the ceremony, winning in five categories, including Top R&B/Hip-Hop Album (for The Emancipation of Mimi) and Top R&B/Hip-Hop Artist. Other winners included Mary J. Blige and Jamie Foxx. Also, the legacy of Destiny's Child lives on: the group won the award for Top R&B/Hip-Hop Group, even though Beyonce and the girls officially broke up a year ago.
